Grand Island Area Clean Community System Grand Island Area Clean Community System is a proud affiliate of the national Keep America Beautiful program, as well as Keep Nebraska Beautiful.

We work to enhance our neighborhoods by reducing, reusing, and recycling our world’s resources. PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS

Environmental Education
- Recycling Coordinator for City of Grand Island
- Provide Household Hazardous Waste Collection for Grand Island, St Paul, Aurora, Central City, and Hall, Hamilton, Howard, Adams, and Merrick Counties.
- Clearinghouse for environmental issues and concerns

Coordinate neighborhood cleanups
- Present information to civic clubs/organizations, schools and other groups about the environment i.e., recycling, Household Hazardous Waste and litter education.
- Permanent Household Hazardous Waste facility located near the Central Nebraska Regional Airport.
