Tri-Cities Kiwanis

Tri-Cities Kiwanis Tri-Cities Kiwanis is a service organization of caring men and women from the Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg area of Michigan.

Kiwanis clubs, located in 80 nations, help their communities in countless ways. Each community’s needs are different — so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen. Kiwanis members don’t just do service — they have fun. Memb

ers make new friends by being part of a club where they attend meetings and participate in social events. Kiwanis clubs also provide excellent networking opportunities for professionals.

It’s really looking great and we can’t wait to see the completed project! Kiwanis was happy to make a contribution in helping fund the renovations!

Kiwanis supports Sandy Huber reading program — The Tri-Cities Kiwanis Club continues its mission to support childhood literacy through the Sandy Huber Reading Program.

The program was started five years ago in memory of Huber, a longtime educator, teacher and administrator in the Grand Haven school system.

“Sandy was an inspiration to everyone she came in contact with, whether it was academic, environmental or community,” said Bill Swano, Kiwanis Past President.

The program raises money for each of the local K-4 schools.

On March 18, Kiwanis hosted a luncheon with representatives from each school districts and celebrated with the Huber family. During the meeting, each educator explained how the funding would be used to facilitate reading in their individual schools.
