I finally got a chance to check out Plains to Pages in Grand Forks. What a wonderful little bookshop that also aims to make books more accessible to rural communities! Check the shop out at Dirt Roads Dakota!

NDCF awards more than $255,000 across North Dakota.

NDCF has awarded more than $255,000 to 54 organizations through our 2026 Statewide Greatest Needs Fund.

The grants will support projects and programs across North Dakota, including community facilities and parks, emergency services, food access, childcare, programs for youth and older adults, and many other needs.

The Statewide Greatest Needs Fund is an unrestricted endowment established to address changing charitable and community needs across North Dakota. Each year, the NDCF Board of Directors awards grants from the fund to organizations and projects serving communities throughout the state.

The EGF Arts and Crafts Council is a non profit org. whose purpose is to promote the fine arts in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Each year the council organizes and runs this craft fair. To date we have donated over $500,000 to promote the fine arts.

🎉 We have some very exciting news to share!

Plains to Pages has been awarded a $5,000 Statewide Greatest Needs 2026 grant through the North Dakota Community Foundation! 💛📚

This funding will help us continue building something we care deeply about: making books, literacy resources, and hands-on learning opportunities more accessible to children and families in our rural communities.

With this support, we'll be able to expand several of the projects we've been working on, including Little Learners ABC Literacy Kits, new Story & Play Kits, 3D-printed learning and sensory resources, books, and materials for community outreach and play-based learning.
Some of these projects have already started taking shape, and we're incredibly excited about what comes next. You'll be seeing the grant at work as we create the kits, build new resources, and get them into the hands of children, families, childcare providers, and community partners. ❤️

A huge thank you to the North Dakota Community Foundation for supporting Plains to Pages and investing in literacy, learning, and play in our communities.

🚧 NEW Sensory Mix Under Construction! 🚧

Something new is being built at Plains & Pages! 👷‍♀️🏗️

I just finished putting together this Construction Zone Sensory Mix, complete with colorful sensory filler and construction-themed pieces ready for scooping, digging, and imaginative play.

I’ll be busy making more sensory mixes this week, and a limited number will be available at the EGF Arts & Crafts Show next weekend!
