Another great morning connecting last week with local professionals at GGFHRA’s monthly What’s Brewing Coffee Hour ☕

These casual networking mornings have become such a valuable space to exchange ideas, discuss workplace trends, and build stronger professional connections within our community. It was wonderful to see both familiar faces and several new attendees joining us over the past two months.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the April and May gatherings. Conversations like these remind us how important community and collaboration are in the HR profession.

Had such a fun and meaningful opportunity yesterday speaking at the Greater Grand Forks Human Resources Association monthly meeting.

I got to share about two things I care deeply about: brain science and the incredibly important role HR plays in supporting the workforce.

My session, The Brain at Work: What HR Leaders Need to Know But Were Never Taught, focused on how stress, psychological safety, and cognitive load impact behavior — and how small shifts in communication and leadership can make a big difference.

I love helping people connect the science to practical everyday strategies, especially when it can lead to healthier workplaces and better support for employees.
