We are a non-profit group of people who like to play with watercolors and other water media. We welcome everyone from beginners to experienced painters to join us. We meet the second Tuesday of each month 6:30 PM--8:00 PM in Grand Forks, ND. The exceptions to those meeting months are January and February when we encourage our members to stay home, stay warm and paint. When we reconvene in March it
's fun to see what our members have painted during those cold months! One other exception is the month of December when we do meet on a weekend afternoon to share original greeting cards with one another. Then we also bring treats to share. At our regular meetings we minimize any old business/new business time and get right to our evening's activity. We also encourage members to share paintings they are working on or have completed. We always learn something from one another. And it inspires us to keep working on our own projects! Three times each year -- usually one in Spring, one in summer, and one in Fall-- we offer a painting class to Parkwood residents in thanks for the administration's allowing us to meet in their conference room every month without charging us! These have been well attended and enjoyed by a number of people--including our members who volunteer their time to do the class. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic forced a halt to this activity, but we hope to return to it when it is safe for residents and for us! Our dues are $15 a year, payable in May. If you cannot get to that meeting, dues can be mailed to treasurer, Marion Gates, PO BOX 13136, Grand Forks, ND 58208. Prior to joining, you are welcome to attend a meeting just to check us out and see if this is a group you would enjoy. Say Hello! We'd love to see you there.
