We are so lucky to have a UND alum as our last LEAD speaker of the year. Tonight, will will be meeting with 🥳 Sarah Newgard, a UND graduate (bachelor in marketing, ‘00; Master of Business Administration, ‘03) is an entrepreneur residing in Grand Forks. She owns her own online nutrition business as well as an indoor cycling studio in Grand Forks. Sarah loves to share her passion of health and well-being, mindset and energy with others. She also has a huge love for UND. Previously Sarah had worked in the UND marketing department for athletics and for the UND alumni association in athletic fundraising. 💚

Loran recently was accepted into the M.S. program in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology) starting in Fall 2021 at 📚⁣

“I’m excited for the next step in becoming a certified Speech-Language Pathologist! I can’t wait to get hands-on clinical experience with clients and start practicing what I have learned in undergrad.”⁣

She is currently a member of NLSO, NSSLHA, Club Swimming, NSCS, and was previously on the dance team.⁣

We had the honor to have Mr. Thunder Hawk as our March LEAD speaker! We were able to learn so much about how a nonprofit like has impacted his community.
In addition, it was incredible to see how one of our members .redtomahawk was able to relate her work experience with our organization.
Thank you Mr. Thunder Hawk and Erika for helping us make this learning experience possible. 💚

They have attended extra workshops, volunteered, planned fundraisers, and set terrific examples for student leadership at UND. We are so proud to showcase our NLSO members with the following awards: Professional Starter, Professional All Star, and Hall of Fame! 💚

Tonight, we were joined by Mr. Bob Ballard who is currently the President and CEO of 🎓 Scholarship America has helped over 2.6 million students with $4.3 billion in the last 60+ years. We had a great discussion about our “WHY” and how we can develop as stronger candidates for future opportunities! Thanks Mr. Ballard for setting a great example for UND NLSO leaders!

Philanthropy in action! 3 friends. 1 goal. Congrats to our members: Anna, Sophie, & Michelle on their first fundraiser for ! In 15 days they used social media to market their campaign & raised $275! They had a total of 10 donors. 100% of their proceeds went directly to the nonprofit! Thank you for supporting our leaders on campus and in the community!
