The ND (CVMA) Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, along with Scheels across North Dakota are honoring a WW2 POW that is coming home.
We are spearheading a motorcycle es**rt across the state to honor Irving Ellingson a WW2 POW whose remains were recently identified. He is being brought back to ND to be laid to his final rest next to his parents.
We are working with the family members, law enforcement, the military, www.honoringthefallen.org and others.
Scheels stores in Fargo, Minot, Bismarck and Grand Forks have graciously stepped up and offered their stores for start points across the state. (More to follow)
This will take place on June 18th when his remains are flown into Fargo. Details will still be forthcoming as there are many pieces in play. Please be patient as we work out details and POCs in each area.
We welcome all Motorcycle riders Veterans or not to participate.

Army Air Forces Staff Sgt. Irvin C. Ellingson, 25, of Dahlen, was accounted for on June 17, 2025. His family recently received their full briefing on his identification.

What an amazing weekend at the Red River Valley Motorcyclists 33rd Annual Spirit of America Bike & Car Show!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth, we were able to sell t-shirts, raffle tickets, and magnets while also sharing information about our upcoming events. Your support truly makes a difference.

One of the highlights of the weekend was giving away two bikes - one for a boy and one for a girl - to two incredible kids. Their excitement and gratitude made it a moment we won't forget. We also raffled off a beautiful handmade quilt made by one of our own member's mom.

Last, but certainly not least, we were proud to present a $5,000 donation to the Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN. It is an honor to support an organization that provides eligible Veterans the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., free of charge to visit the memorials built in their honor.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend such a success!

Come out and see us this weekend at the Red River Motorcyclists Bike and Car show at the Alerus in Grand Forks, ND.

🚗The Red River Valley Motorcyclists Spirit of America Bike & Car Show is back at Alerus Center THIS WEEKEND!
A full arena full of the hottest rides in the valley 🔥
May 2 from 9am-7pm.
May 3 from 10am-4pm.
Admission is $10. Veterans are FREE. Kids under 12 are free with paying adult.
All proceeds go to The Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN.

We’ll have a table set up selling some t-shirts, patches, magnets and raffling off this beautiful quilt hand made by one our member’s mother.

We will also have two bikes (boy & girl) that the kiddos can get a FREE ticket to enter to win!

We will be there all day Saturday and Sunday!

We look forward to seeing everybody!
