Update: Anne Carlsen Center pajamas have gone out already and will be going out to their families! 🎉

The rest are now all boxed up ready for delivery! Tuesday we will be delivering to CVIC and Thursday to the GF County Building for their social workers. 🎉🎉

Thank you to all who donated pajamas, held events and their own pajama drives, as well the many who sent funds and had me go pajama shopping. We collected 1262 pairs! ♥️

Since we all started coming together 12 years ago, we have donated over 13.000 pairs of pajamas to someone in need. That’s simply amazing! Way to go! 💕

🎬 2022 EDITION 🎄🚊 ♥️

Normally, I never know who receives the pajamas that we collect and donate, but this year I was able to go back to a couple of classrooms that fill my heart and again provide a little magical twist.

I was sent a request wondering if I would have enough pajamas to donate to the 2 Winship kindergarten classes. They were doing their Polar Express unit the last week of school and would wear pajamas and drink cocoa and watch the movie as their big finale before their holiday break. This is a school that has about 90 percent of their students qualifying for free or reduced meals and have a very high population of EL students. The pajamas would be going to many, many kids in need. I had many of these sizes, so I jumped on the chance to help again! One of the teachers picked up the pajamas from me, gave me a huge hug and a wonderful thank you and she was on her way.

On this magical day, where they all had their ticket punched to board their very own Polar Express in their pajamas, I was invited to stop by. There were so many hello’s, thank you’s and hugs and I was in and out of there in no time. I needed this in my own heart again and as I walked back to my car, I had tears rolling down my cheeks. THIS is why I do this. To let those who receive these pajamas feel the warmth and love from those within in this community. You guys….Their faces LIT up….Their eyes twinkled…..Their toothless smiles were wide. Everyone deserves to feel loved, and who doesn’t love the feeling of a new pair of pajamas?!? As you can see by the smiles in this picture, I would say we all did just that! Thank you to Mrs. Plante and Mrs. Ohnstad for the invite, I will never forget these moments and I am forever grateful. ♥️ Leigh

🎉 Shout out to Discovery Elementary for collecting a whopping 204 pairs of pajamas. They collect pajamas and also sell candy canes and with those funds purchase pajamas. Thank you ALL!
