*Collect, sort and count used eyeglasses to be distributed to those in need through Special Needs Vision Clinic
*Adopt a FISH Family for the holiday season
*Assist GB residents with eyecare and hearing costs
*Conduct FREE KidSight Vision Screenings
*Participate in Regional, District, Multi-District and International Conferences and Service
*Raise and Contribute Funds to more than a dozen Lion affiliated organizations

A successful KidSight Eye Screening at the Perry Pre-school Expo last evening! 21 children screened with 2 referrals. So important to have vision screening at a young age to catch any discrepancies! So glad to provide the service to our community.

Nearly 500 pairs of glasses and several hearing aids collected this month: sorted, counted and boxed to go to Special Needs Vision Clinic! Thank you to the community of Grand Blanc for your donations:)

Thank you Colony’s Quality Meats for allowing the Grand Blanc Lions to collect donations last weekend. We had a very successful drive for funds that will go back into the local community and provide assistance to numerous organizations that Lions support - Vision Services, Diabetes Awareness, Hunger, Environment and Childhood Cancer.

Met and talked to many people at the Bobcat Be Well Expo at Grand Blanc High School on Thursday May 2nd. Passed out flyers about eyeglass collections, KidSight info and info about the Grand Blanc Lions Club, and passed out freebies:)

District Governor Bill Bauder joined us Monday for a meal and a meeting. Then helped sort close to 700 pair of glasses. Had to chuckle when he almost donated his own glasses (that he had taken off briefly) to the pile! 😂

KidSight Vision Screening last Thursday at the Perry Innocation Center Pre-School Expo. 16 children screened - two of which were referred to their optometrist.

The Grand Blanc Lions Club collects used prescription glasses to be processed and sent to locations around the world to help those in need. If you live in the Grand Blanc area, you can find collection boxes at these sites.

Each month Lion Joe collects glasses in Grand Blanc from multiple businesses, optometrist offices, the hospital, funeral homes etc. In the month of May he sorted and counted 650+ Pairs to donate to Special Needs Vision Clinic in Bridgeport. The glasses are processed and packaged for delivery around the world for those in need. Thank you Grand Blanc!

Thank you to generous patrons of Colony’s Meats of Grand Blanc who generously donated for Lions White Cane Week! Lion Volunteers collected funds on May 12 & 13. All money collected from the public is 100% distributed to those in need. Lions focus on five areas of service. Vision, Hunger, Environment, Childhood Cancer, and Diabetes Awareness.
