Grand Bay Trash

Grand Bay Trash We will highlight the community members cleaning up litter around the area!

Occasionally there will be posts that show names on litter items, so that those who litter are aware that they are commiting a criminal offense in the state of Alabama.

You have a better chance of seeing Bigfoot in Grand Bay, than someone picking up litter. But thankfully on Saturday morning we were able to snap a photo of a rare Good Samaritan in action.

Not positive, but we believe he had a Veterans hat on. If so, we’d like to thank him twice. Once for his service to our country and once for his service cleaning up Grand Bay. He’s probably pretty discouraged people just trash the beautiful places where they live, especially considering all the sacrifices Veterans made for our freedom.

It’s unfortunate that so many residents of Grand Bay don’t like where they live. 6 buckets full of trash just from the Old Town Green area by the old train depot platform and the awesome Harpers Orchards Pecan Store. Do better Grand Bay. Do better.

Thank you Mobile County Dept. of Environmental Enforcement - MCDEE for putting some new signs up in the Old Town area. This will remind those that intentionally litter that they are not just making their home less beautiful with each piece of trash, but also committing a criminal offense. Let’s Be The Change!

This past weekend the following items were discovered while picking up litter at the Old Town Green near the depot and also the 4-way stop at Saegar and Potter Tract. A trash can was filled full with litter picked up just from these two areas.

If you know these people (Grady Walker Jr. and a Chris that ate wings mid-January) please request that they ensure that their trash is deposited in trash cans in the future. Thanks!
