Today we celebrate the sport we all know and love — and what better way to spend National Bowling Day than hitting the lanes with your friends, family, and fellow bowlers!

Bowling is more than just a sport — it's a community, a passion, and for many of us, a way of life. Today we celebrate every strike, spare, and yes, even the gutter balls that keep us coming back for more! 😄

From all of us at Mass Tri-County USBC, thank you to every bowler, league officer, volunteer, and supporter who makes our association what it is. We are so proud of the community we have built together! 🏆

🎳 WELCOME TO THE 2026-2027 BOWLING SEASON! 🎳

The new season is almost here and we couldn't be more excited to get everyone back on the lanes! Here's everything you need to know to get started:

📦 League Packet Pickup
League secretaries, come pick up your packets at the following dates and locations:

• Chicopee & Westover Leagues
Tuesday, August 11th @ 6:00 PM
Bowlero Chicopee

• Spare Time Northampton Leagues
Wednesday, August 12th @ 6:00 PM
Spare Time Northampton

• Shaker Bowl Leagues
Thursday, August 13th @ 6:00 PM
Shaker Bowl

💰 Sanction Fees
Great news — sanction fees remain $27 for the 2026-2027 season! Sanctions can be purchased online at bowl.com, but please remember that ALL bowlers must fill out a sanction card before bowling their first league session — one card per league they bowl in.

🎳 Remembering Hall of Fame Member Mary Robie 🎳

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Mary Robie, a longtime member of our bowling community and a valued part of our association’s history.

Mary was inducted into the Greater Springfield Womens Bowling Association (GSWBA) Hall of Fame for Meritorious Service in 1995, recognizing her dedication, service, and contributions to the sport of bowling and the local bowling community. Mary served as the Vice President of the GSWBA for 15 years and as the President from 2000 until 2018, when GSWBA merged into the current MTCUSBC.

Although the association has evolved over the years, Mary’s legacy remains a part of our history. We are grateful for the many years of service and commitment she gave to bowling and to those around her.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Mary’s family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and bowling alongside her.
