PV8 is the chapter that runs the annual Springfield RV Camping & Outdoor Show! It is a camping club, a social club, and the Springfield RV Camping & Outdoor Show. It can sum it up in one word – FRIENDSHIP. We have second and third generation families and friendships that last a life time. The technical name of the club is Pioneer Valley Chapter 8 of North American Family Campers Association. The C
hapter started in September of 1960 to future family camping in the Springfield area. You will hear family a lot here. We are an all volunteer organization, from the board of directors, the many committees, to the Camp Show. We have monthly meeting (except July & August). We are a camping club after all. The June and September meetings are held at a campout also. Go to the website to learn more about our activities and benefits. Our Camp Show (Springfield RV Camping & Outdoor Show) started in 1963. It has grown to one of the Biggest, Oldest, and we think the Best show in the country. Where can you see approximately 30 Dealers, 100 campgrounds, and 100 suppliers on one location? The reason for our success is our volunteers and besides who knows what campers want than campers. They hold the NAFCA Spring Safari, an Education Conference (A weekend of camping related seminars for all NAFCA members), and a NAFCAree (a week long camping event), and other various activities during the year. Each state’s chapters also organize events and camp-outs during the year that you can attend. NAFCA produces its own newsletter (the Chatter) that you will receive.
