Good morning!! We wanted to give everyone a heads up that the Bark Park is going to be eventually closed for an extended time (possibly a month). It has been decided by the Town of Granby and Pet Pals, that the pond needs to be filled. It has been a growing concern. The pond has had no water coming in/out for some time and there are no natural occurring 'freshening flows' to maintain water quality in the pond. The dogs like to swim and drink from the pond and with the water being questionable (only to get worse over time), it could result in unhealthy consumption for our four legged friends. The pond has been wonderful while we have had it, but as always, the well being of the animals is and always will be our number one priority. Thanks for understanding. So for the few days that are remaining that it will be open, go out and have fun. We will keep you posted as soon as we know the closing date.
And a huge THANK YOU to the Town of Granby for your help with this project!!!!

Good morning. If you weren't able to make it to our grand opening, we wanted to show you some pictures of our amazing facility. 🥰🥰
On another note, the shelter hours have changed. We are open by appointment only Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00-3:30. On Tuesday's, we are open by appointment only from 11:30-3:30. These hours may change in the future and if they do, we will keep you posted.
If you would like to volunteer during those hours, please call the animal shelter at 970-887-2988

Look at our alumni Belle🥰. Enjoying her new chapter of life so much.
If you don't know her back story, she was at the animal shelter for a year waiting for her perfect home (which she found). She now gets spoiled beyond belief and now knows what unconditional love means.
We are so grateful for each and everyone who adopts an animal and gives them their best life possible.

Another fun note!!! We had 4 cats come to the shelter this week. 3 out of the 4 cats had been microchipped. Unfortunately, only 1 was registered to the owner. We were able to contact that owner and she came and picked up her cat. The other 3 cats, the owners had called the animal shelter to see if we had their cat or said they had seen their cat's picture on FB. It is very rare that cats get returned to their owners because a lot of people don't think to call the shelter to see if someone brought their cat to us. SO it was an exciting week that the animal shelter was able to get all 4 home.
And as a friendly reminder, please remember to register your microchip. It helps get your animal home sooner than later🐶🐱

Our sweet, older girl, Layla went out on trial❤️❤️. So happy for her!! Senior animals are the best and this wonderful family who is giving her a chance will soon find that out🥰
