The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

1. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
2. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
3. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
4. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and many Rotarians recite it at club meetings:

Of the things we think, say or do:
* Is it the TRUTH?
* Is it FAIR to all concerned?
* Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
* Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Join us tomorrow to hear from our own Emma Trainor about her experience hosting exchange students!

We are proud and active participants in the Rotary Youth Exchange, and in the last few years have brought students from Brazil, Sweden, and Austria to Middle Park, each for a year. If you are interested in hosting a student or getting involved otherwise, please reach out!

Our weekly meetings are on Wednesdays from 12:15-1:15 at the Granby Library.

See you then and there!

Last month, the Middle Park Interact Club had their annual fundraising event, a dodgeball tournament! This year's tournament had 9 teams participate. Here are a few of the teams.

These young Interactors voted to donate all funds raised to Granby's Mountain Family Center! We are so proud of our young community members and look forward to the great work they each go on to do in their lives, wherever their paths take them!

One of our long-running service projects is our Adopt-A-Highway commitment on Highway 34! We clean up our stretch of road twice a year, even if it takes a little rescheduling thanks to the weather (like this time)!

We had a great group of Rotarians and their spouses gather last week for the pick-up, and then at one of our favorite local restaurants, Brickhouse 40 in Granby, for dinner. No photos of the service work, but here's the whole group at dinner!

Yesterday we had a wonderfully educational presentation by our own Tim Schowalter, about the geography and geology of the Hawaiian islands! We love how much our own club members can share with us. Thank you, Tim!

The secret is out: Put a microphone in front of our Executive Director, Ryan Wilson, and you’re going to get a whole lot of passion (and maybe some expressive hand gestures) 🎙️🙌

Ryan recently had the pleasure of speaking with the Rotary Club of Granby. He shared the heart behind KFFR, why we exist, the journey of our growth, and the exciting things we have on the horizon for community radio 🏔️✨

As you can see from this "majestic" shot captured by Jeremy Krones (a member of the Rotary), Ryan was... let’s say, enthusiastic 👐 Whether he was explaining a complex broadcasting high or describing a particularly challenging low, those hands were definitely doing some of the talking 📈🔊

Opportune jokes aside, our Executive Director has been a cornerstone to the years of growth and operations of the radio station. We love having him as a leader, steering the ship through every frequency change and community milestone ⚓❤️

A huge thank you to the for the invite and to Jeremy for catching Ryan in his natural, high-energy habitat 📸🤝

Want to learn more about your nonprofit community radio station? 📻
Ryan is officially open for more speaking opportunities through the end of the year! If your group or organization wants to hear the inside story of KFFR and the importance of community-powered media, we’d love to connect.
