Check out Tex! A poor guy lost in the foster and boarding system for too long.
The Good-
- Around 4-5 years old and 50 lbs
-neutered, microchip, utd on shots
- perfect leash manners, great in his crate, and loves car rides.
- no food, toy, or barrier reactivity
-recently completed a board and train program and will happily show off his tricks and how smart he is
-once Tex likes you, he is a giant love bug, rolls over for belly rubs, runs and plays, gives kisses, and is beyond loyal.
The tough-
- Tex is people selective. Not just men or women or kids or male dogs, etc. There is no prediction.
- a little jealous and pushy. He currently plays with 2 similar size females ok but can get overstimulated and rough. He has great recall to settle but will require supervision with other dogs
-VERY male dog selective. We do know he was attacked by a male dog years ago.
- unknown house behavior. Tex has only lived in boarding, kennels, or outside for years. It's unknown if Tex has ever lived in a home.
- high prey drive. No cats or fluffy friends.
Tex isn't a bad dog, Tex is a lost dog. Bounced around, names changed, no structure, no bond. Just existing.
But, with a patient, experienced, and loving family, Tex has the chance to be the amazing boy he has been waiting too long to be.
He won't be the easiest dog, but given the chance, he could be the best.
Please share this post far and wide. Transport is an option for the right home. Message or call with any questions. It is time for our sweet Tex to find his forever!!
