🌟We are excited to announce the 2026-2027 Hood County Jr Livestock Ambassador Team 🌟

To all of the amazing students who applied this year: THANK YOU!! We are very proud of each and every one of you!

HCJLA had a dedicated panel of judges who are deeply rooted in the agriculture industry outside of Hood County. Their responses were synonymous, they were inspired and moved by the dedication, the forward-thinking ideas, and most of all the heart shown by this large group of applicants in their lengthy applications.

🎉 We can't wait to see this amazing team in action, as they represent and share agriculture in Hood County this season. Congratulations – we are genuinely looking forward to all that you will bring to our county while promoting the values of agriculture and livestock in Hood County and abroad.

PLEASE SHARE! Students, May 1 marks the FIRST DAY you can enter for one of United Cooperative Services’ scholarship awards! The top three applicants have the opportunity to earn $10,000, $5,000 and $4,000.

Funding for the scholarships are made available by House Bill 3203, which allows not-for-profit electric cooperatives like United to put unclaimed funds to use for student scholarships, economic development and energy efficiency.

Remember, you must complete both the application AND supply the required documents no later than JUNE 1 to qualify. Visit www.ucs.net/scholarships for info and application.
