THE SOCIETY GOSSIP OF THE STACKS
By Lady Quillington, Society Correspondent

Dear Gentle Reader,
All Hallow’s Eve approaches, and here at the library, our fine feathered friends have readied themselves for the occasion. Sir Gregory and Miss Pru have been spotted sporting some costumed attire of a quite peculiar nature. Taking their baskets out in hopes of acquiring treats... or tricks. They have even been witnessed spooking their neighbors amongst the morning mist, reading witchy books out in the garden, and trying their hand –or wing– at making their own potions.
A certain gossip has found herself frequenting fields, and maybe a few kitchen windows, to catch a glimpse of the pair dancing to eerie tunes or mumbling incantations over bubbling cauldrons. Let’s just say, I believe these geese intend to gain notoriety. Whether that means becoming famous, or infamous, is yet to be revealed. One thing is certain though, the two of them know how to cause rumors to fly.
Until our next report,

Lady Quillington
