Congratulations to one of the Junior Leaders, Angela Gentry on your recent promotion.

We’re excited to announce Angela Gentry’s promotion to Executive Director of the Hood County YMCA!

Angela’s 12-year journey with the Hood County YMCA is a true example of dedication and growth. She began as a Playhouse attendant and rose through the ranks, most recently serving as Membership & Wellness Director. Along the way, she’s built strong relationships across the Granbury and Hood County community, connecting with members, volunteers, donors, and partners to strengthen the Y’s impact.

Angela has also played a key role in supporting the Annual Campaign, helping expand our programs and services for families, youth, and seniors. Her passion for the Y’s mission and deep understanding of the community make her the perfect leader for this next chapter.

Please join us in congratulating Angela on this well-deserved promotion - we’re excited to see the Hood County YMCA continue to thrive under her leadership!

Today started with getting professional headshots done. Thank you United Way of Hood County for allowing us to use your facility.

Thank you to Leadership Granbury alumni Neal with 817 Print for the wonderful tour and knowledge of entrepreneurship. Lunch was provided by Kroger Marketplace. Big thank you for lunch and tour.

We ended the day learning about the different career opportunities in banking from our hometown bank First National Bank of Granbury TX. The students enjoyed the tour, history of the bank and of course the Anazing FNB swag.

This week has been amazing watching Junior Leadership Granbury Alumni come in town from College and start spending their time donating to the community. This week we had alumni and current class members donating their time to Hood County Christmas for Children. They helped shopping for gifts, organizing gifts and distributing them to over 1600 kids. It’s great to see what leaders they have become.

Today was a good day with Leadership Granbury‘s Junior program. Today was the famous non profit day. The students and adults learned about many of the non profits in Hood County. The classes also had a chance to give back to several organizations. They helped United Way of Hood County, Hood County Christmas for Children and also helped sorting, folding and organizing clothes for Hood County Children's Charity Fund.
The students had another great day of learning how to give back and what and why each non profit does what they do.
