HOOD COUNTY SHERIFF’S POSSE

The Hood County Sheriff’s Posse (HCSP) is a volunteer organization established October 1959 that supports Hood County Sheriff Roger Deed and the entire Hood County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) in many ways. Members of the HCSP come from varied backgrounds and are not necessarily full or part time law enforcement officers. Members volunteer their time to assist the Sheriff’s

Office during times of need such as; natural disasters, searches for missing people, special events management and fund raising events for charitable organizations within the county. We don’t do that anymore however, many members of the HCSP are horse owners and are active in various equestrian pursuits. As such, members are involved in representing the HCSO in parades, rodeos, and other ceremonial events. The HCSP meets once a month on the 4th Thursday at 7:00 PM at the EOC Building at 401 Deputy Larry Miller Dr in Granbury.
