FLAG RECAP: THINGS ARE GETTING INTERESTING.

Another Saturday of Granbury flag football is in the books.
Dually has updated the notebook.
Buck has updated his opinions.
Coach Earl: “Did the scores change any of them?”
Buck: “Absolutely not.”
Dually: “That’s generally the problem.”

Let’s get into it.
🟣 8U FLAG
Rollins 14 — Richardson 6
O’Brien 14 — Coffey 6
Okay, Rollins.
We noticed you last week.
Now you’ve got our attention.
After going 2–0 the previous Saturday, Rollins followed it up with a 14–6 win over Richardson.
Dually: “That’s three straight wins.”
Buck: “You know who else noticed?”
Coach Earl: “Lammons?”
Buck: “Lammons.”
👀
We’re not starting trouble on the Porch…
But we’re also not not starting trouble.
And O’Brien picked up a nice 14–6 win over Coffey, giving that group something to build on heading into the next week.
🪑 PORCH TAKE:
We already knew Lammons was the 8U benchmark.
Rollins is making the 8U conversation considerably more interesting.
🟡 10U FLAG
Pike 13 — Autry 6
Rice 37 — Borror 6
Shahan 25 — Stephan 15
There’s a LOT happening here.
Pike finds another way to win, taking a close one over Autry 13–6.
Rice?
Thirty-seven points.
Buck: “Didn’t they score 32 last time?”
Dually: “Yes.”
Buck: “And 33 before that?”
Dually: “Also yes.”
Buck: “I would like the record to show that I noticed an offensive trend.”
Dually: “The record reluctantly acknowledges it.”

And then Shahan puts up 25 against Stephan to keep their own strong season moving.
Here’s what we know:
Pike keeps winning close games.
Rice can absolutely fill up a scoreboard.
Shahan continues to look dangerous.
👀 PORCH WATCH:
10U isn’t giving us one obvious storyline.
It’s giving us several.
And that might make it the division to watch as this season gets deeper.
⚫ 12U FLAG
McCarty 24 — Hansen 14
Patrick 37 — Valkyries 28
Kreutzer 37 — Pierce 6
First…
37–28?!
Peanut: “THE GIRLS SCORED TWENTY-EIGHT?!”
They sure did.
And yes, Patrick came away with the win and deserves credit for putting 37 points on the board.
But we’ve been watching this Valkyries team from the beginning.
First season playing football.
A group of girls coming together from other sports and learning the game as they go.
They scored 12 in Week One.
12 again in Week Two.
6 the next week.
And now?
28 POINTS.
Peanut: “I TOLD Y’ALL I WAS WATCHING ’EM.”
Coach Earl: “That’s why you don’t judge a new football team by what they look like in September.”
They didn’t get the win.
But offensively?
That’s a pretty big step forward.
Elsewhere, McCarty keeps building momentum with a 24–14 win over Hansen, while Kreutzer did what Kreutzer has seemingly been doing all season:
Put a bunch of points on the board.
37–6 over Pierce.
Buck: “Can we officially say Kreutzer is pretty good?”
Dually: “I believe the evidence would support that conclusion.”
Buck: “FINALLY.”

🪑 PORCH TAKE:
Kreutzer continues setting the pace.
McCarty keeps quietly stacking good Saturdays.
Patrick can score.
And those Valkyries?
Keep watching them.
Another week down, and the picture keeps changing.
Rollins is making noise in 8U.
Pike, Rice and Shahan are making 10U awfully interesting.
Kreutzer continues to roll in 12U.
And sometimes one of the most interesting performances of the weekend doesn’t come with a W beside it.
Peanut: “Twenty-eight.”
Dually: “We heard you.”
Peanut: “Just making sure.”
Coach Earl: “Let the kids keep learning. That’s what this is all about.”
Buck: “Can I make predictions for next week now?”
Coach Earl: “No.”
Buck: “This Porch has become oppressive.”
