On April 25th, our President, Elijah Grayson, stood proudly for the GSU NAACP at the annual Grambling NAACP Scholarship Banquet. He highlighted the amazing things our chapter is doing on campus and in the community. Congratulations to our Vice President, De’Asia Mitchell, on an incredible week of leadership, advocacy, and impact!

Yesterday, De’Asia had the honor of speaking at the State Capitol before congressmen and the committee, where she delivered powerful testimony in the Louisiana v. Callais case and stood up for fair representation and a fairer map for the people of Louisiana.

In addition, she was recently featured on the National NAACP website as part of the College & Affordability Cohort, where the Student Bill of Rights was officially published — highlighting her continued dedication to educational equity and student advocacy nationwide.

Your voice, passion, and commitment to justice continue to inspire us all. We are beyond proud of you and excited to see the impact you will continue to make! ✊🏽

This past Saturday, March 28th, the Grambling State NAACP Chapter spent time at Ruston Rehabilitation & Nursing Center hosting bingo with the residents! 🎉 From laughs to friendly competition, it was truly a heartwarming experience connecting with our elders and giving back.

Special shoutout to our outstanding member, Kalah Breakfield, for still going strong with Service Saturdays and continuing to lead by example! 💪🏾💙 .lifewkalah

The Grambling State University NAACP Chapter and the Delta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. came together once again for our Annual Voter Registration Drive! 🗳️✨

We also want to give a HUGE thank you to the Genesis Chapter of United Afrikan American Men and the Louisiana State NAACP Youth & College Division for collaborating with us and helping make this event such a success! Because of this partnership, we were able to get so many students registered and ready to make their voices heard! 🙌🏾

Voting is especially important for college students because the decisions made at the polls directly impact our education, student loans, campus funding, and the future of our communities. Our voices matter, and when we show up, we create change! 📢
