We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sharing the love of Jesus with families affected by extreme generational poverty in Guatemala. Through medical care, food distribution, education, and acts of kindness, we help meet physical needs while pointing people to eternal hope. We go where o

thers don’t — reaching remote villages, raising up local leaders, and reminding people they are seen, known, and loved by God. Because when God says “Go”… we do. 💛

We usually go out to the villages as a group on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays — three days a week. Shawn, Julio, and Rachel also visit pastors and work with the children and children’s ministry leaders on Thursdays.

We were so excited for Dad and our new intern, Natalie, to join us this past Wednesday. It was a 12-hour day from the time we opened our eyes until we stepped back into our house — especially tough since we had just flown back from the States and arrived home at 9:00 a.m. the day before! 😅😊

Sadly, after Wednesday, our ministry truck broke down, and we weren’t able to continue our outreach for the rest of last week.

The truck is still having issues, but we simply couldn’t keep canceling our mobile clinics. After Jeff talked with our mechanic, he gave his best professional opinion that if today’s village wasn’t too far and the team watched carefully for warning signs, they should be okay to use it for one more day.

So we took a leap of faith and sent the team out for today’s outreach in Patrocinio while Jeff worked on dealing with our broken SUV. Dad needed to stay back and rest because of his leg pain, and I’ve been struggling with an excruciating toothache.

Thank God — the team had a great day, and they made it home safely with the truck!

Here are some pictures from this past Wednesday. Dad and Natalie were both a big help, and Dad especially couldn’t stop talking about the experience afterward. Maybe I’ll do a little interview with him before he leaves so he can share with you all as well. He’ll be with us for one more week 😇

!!!URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!!! 🙏🙏🙏

Please pray for reliable transportation for the ministry. Both our truck and SUV have been to the mechanic many times since last year, yet both continue to have ongoing problems. The truck was back in the shop again yesterday and is currently out of service. Although our mechanic’s computer indicated a possible transmission issue, he was unable to diagnose it further. We need someone with the expertise to properly identify the problem and determine what repairs may be needed.

This week alone, we had to cancel outreach at the last minute twice—once this past Monday when we had to replace the brakes for the second time this year, along with a filter replacement, costing $400 total, and again today because of these continuing mechanical issues. Without our truck, we are unable to reach the villages, especially for our mobile clinics. We had already outgrown our transportation capacity and were in need of a second truck even before these ongoing issues began.

We have truly worked this truck to its limit, using it exactly for the purpose it was meant for as we travel countless miles to serve remote communities.

Please pray for God’s intervention and provision—for wisdom to diagnose the problem, the right people to help, affordable repairs or replacement if needed, and dependable transportation so we can continue reaching those who are counting on these medical outreaches. Thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏

A huge thank you to Julio and Rachael for sharing these photos and update from El Asintal! ❤️

Today, 3 donations of clothes were taken to the community, and the ladies were so happy and grateful. With the rainy season about to begin, drying clothes becomes very difficult, especially for families who only have a few changes of clothing. For many children, not having enough dry clothes to wear can become a real challenge during these months.

Something as simple as donated clothing can truly make a difference and bring comfort, dignity, and joy to families in need. Seeing the smiles and excitement today was such a blessing. 🤗

Thank you to everyone who helps make moments like this possible through your generosity, prayers, and support. Every act of kindness matters more than you know. ❤️

Help Us Equip Vida Plena

Centro Médico Vida Plena is now open and already serving patients in Escuintla—but to provide the level of care this community truly needs, we are still in urgent need of key medical equipment.

We are specifically looking for donations of the following items (new or used in good working condition):

- Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) machine
- Fetal heart monitor
- Pap smear equipment
- X-ray machine

Access to an X-ray is especially critical. We’ve been told there is only one location in Escuintla that offers this service—and the cost is simply too high for many families. Having this equipment at Vida Plena would remove a major barrier to care and allow us to diagnose and treat patients much more effectively.

In addition, we are very close to completing our laboratory, with just $15,000 left to raise to fully equip and open it.

If you or someone you know has the ability to donate any of this equipment, it would make an immediate and lasting impact. These tools will help us provide better diagnoses, safer care for mothers and children, and life-saving early detection.

This is a tangible way to be part of what God is doing—bringing hope and healing to those who need it most.

If you can help, please reach out to us today. Let’s finish strong together.

Jeff and I were at Vida Plena today. Even though it’s slow (it’s only been a week since opening), it was still really encouraging.

During the 3.5 hours we were there, we saw a few patients walk in from the street, and two students came in after school. Dr. Erick’s wife, who has been volunteering with us, also told me that 10 patients came in for ultrasounds last week and they were all so appreciative, especially because the cost is so low.

Hearing about their reactions reminds us why we started Vida Plena—to serve and help low-income families ❤️

Our prayer is that, as it grows, this center will not only provide affordable care and create jobs, but also help support the free services we offer to the most vulnerable communities and become more self-sustaining. Even as we move in that direction, as a nonprofit ministry, we still rely on the generosity of others—because the more support we receive, the more lives we can reach.

At the same time, we do feel the weight of this new season. Now that we are open, there are real ongoing needs—payroll, rent, utilities, medical supplies, and inventory, etc…. It can feel overwhelming at times, especially as we are just getting started. Because we are committed to keeping our services low-cost for the families we serve, we need a steady flow of patients to sustain the center—and we are still in the early stages of building that.

If you think of us, we would truly appreciate your prayers—for wisdom, provision, and for the right growth at the right time. 🙏

We trust that God will continue to guide each step, just as He has faithfully brought us this far.

Last but not least, when you like, comment, and share our posts, it actually helps Facebook show them to more people—so more people can learn about the work being done here ❤️.

Thank you so much again for your love, care, prayers, and support—it means so much to us 🙌💪🌈💕

Continued from my last post—one highlight from this past week is that we had the opportunity to serve alongside Randy and Lynn from Sonshire Ministry at a national hospital. For the past 3.5 years, they have been faithfully serving at this hospital, loving on patients and staff by providing sandwiches, cookies and hot coffee every Thursday night.

This past Thursday, we helped make 325 sandwiches, then split into small teams to visit patients in every corner—inside and outside—on each floor, serving them sandwiches, cookies and hot coffee. Everyone was very appreciative, with big smiles😄.

According to Lynn, the hospital has improved significantly since they began serving there—walls have been painted, and floors are now being cleaned. However, some areas are still in pretty poor condition.

We also learned a difficult reality during our visit. On the maternity floor, many women do not have the option of a natural delivery. Due to limited staff and resources, most births are done by C-sections. Mothers are typically discharged within 24 hours, with limited to no support before and after the procedure, and in some cases without food during their stay—yet they are expected to begin caring for and nursing their newborns right away. Please keep these mothers—and those who will give birth here—in your prayers! 🙏

Thank you to Randy and Lynn for opening their arms to our entire team and allowing us to be part of such a meaningful and tangible ministry.❤️

Another two-plus weeks have flown by. So much has happened and so much I’ve wanted to share, but it’s hard to put it all out there—too much, too long, too many pictures… and I wonder if people would really engage 😅.

So if you’re here reading this, we truly appreciate you so much. Give us a like to let us know you’re here—it also helps Facebook show our posts to more people.🙏💪

The medical center officially (soft) opened on April 14—just over a week ago. We had Nurse Joanna and Nurse Lea come the week before, followed by a pharmacist team serving back-to-back the following week, so it’s been very busy.

I’ve also been under the weather with a cold, allergies, and an infection (this is Esther, by the way☺️), so I haven’t been able to keep up. Time moves so quickly—just when I start to catch up, something new comes up, and I always feel a step behind.

I don’t want these wonderful memories to get lost, so I’m just going to share some of the pictures I was able to gather and let them speak for themselves 😅. However, I do want to highlight a special outreach—stay tuned… coming next 😇.
