Rotary social at the Elon Women's basketball game has been rescheduled to March 7, 7pm. See details below.

The snow has (mostly) melted, and we have a new date for the Elon Women's Basketball Rotary Social! It is now Saturday, March 7 at 7pm against UNCW. Please let everyone know about it! If you have already RSVP'd your registration is still good. If you can't make it this time, let Dick O'Donnell know if you'd like a refund. Link to RSVP to the event in the first comment.

It is a treat to attend this as a Rotarian or guest and get this special treatment: 1. We will have our own section with tables set-up for food and overlooking the court on the Concourse Level. 2. Jenn Strawley, Director of Athletics, (and the first woman to hold that position at Elon!) will make it a point to meet with us. 3. Fingers crossed, Charlotte Smith, Head Women’s Basketball Coach, and a Rotarian will have time to meet with us after the game. She is an amazing player and coach that is inspiring to us all! 4. They will give us a shout-out and promote “Alamance County Rotary Clubs” on the video board. Someone get a photo!

Rotary Reads for Alamance County elementary schools is underway for 2026! Twenty Rotarians and families came out to sort and Rotary-stamp 6,700 books, destined for students at fourteen local elementary schools.

Graham Rotary started this program in 2009, with a donation of books to the Graham Public Library. In 2013, that expanded to buying books for every student at North Graham Elementary School and having Rotarians read to every classroom at the school.

In 2019, the Alamance and Burlington Rotary Clubs joined the project and we expanded to six elementary schools.

This year, the three clubs are helping every student in fourteen local elementary schools choose a free book of their choice; a total of about 6,700 students.

As Graham Rotary prepares for its annual charity golf tournament, we would like to thank our sponsors that made last year's tournament so successful.
