UPDATE FOR VETS DREAM:
Well guys I tried my best to hit that 40 mark this year for taking or purchasing seats for veterans to go fishing. I almost made it. My truck as many of you know had a dynamic blow out during the weekend my brother was out. We luckily had his boat to finish up the weekend. My buddy Wade has not been able to get out as much with kids in sports and school starting back up. I was almost there. 36 was the number this year. Almost made it. Seasons still going but wont be getting my truck back for another week or so.
So, unless you want to river fish for salmon its just about done. A few good weeks left of Salmon in the Sound. Get out and get some while you can. Tacoma is going strong and even hear the Sekiu tournament this weekend still went strong with lots of fish being caught. Great Coho Season for sure this year just unfortunate the truck didn't make it lol.
That being said. Baits are being made and Sundays are open for Veterans or those that want to support the veterans to come over and hang out to make some baits. I have molds to do soft plastics and lead pours for different things. These are made to help support the cost of taking veterans out on the water. I will be starting adventures again next year. We always start off with some Blackmouth trips and roll into the Halibut, Lingcod, and Seabass season. I will do a week in Sekiu again next year. I will have open seats and family on my boat. Hope to see you all there.
Do not forget we still have the Photo Competition going on. Send me pics with my baits in your fish's mouth. I am posting them here or to my videos. December 1, 2026, the person with the most fish pics gets a $100 Bass Pro Shops gift card.
I might do another video competition between now and December so stay tuned for that. I am trying to work out what I want to do since the last one went over so well.
Trying to get some Hoodies, Sweatshirts, T-Shirts, and other gear for those that want it. I am also struggling with a web site. I am going to work this winter on that. The summer months here are so hard because so beautiful people want to be out and not stuck on computer or inside. Absolutely get that. We are however, headed into the time of year people tend to stay indoors more so I can have some time to work on behind the scenes business stuff.
Well that is all from VETS DREAM as far as an update goes. Get out and enjoy the rest of this beautiful weather we are having. I am starting to prep for my upcoming hunt in Idaho and very much looking forward to some more time with family.
"Lord, I humble myself before You today, knowing You are always by my side.
As I continue supporting veterans through this work, I lift up those who are unable to join us on the water. Surround them with Your comfort and peace. I thank You for every veteran who came aboard Vets Dream this year, and for answering our prayers by bringing each of us safely back home to our families.
Grant me the strength to carry out Your Word and walk faithfully in the calling You’ve placed on my life. Use me as an instrument to inspire the veterans I serve—let them feel Your love through my actions, and know that through You alone lies the path to eternal life.
Lord, we know our ultimate home is in heaven with You, but we ask for Your grace and protection so we don't rush that journey. Keep us secure on the water, steady in our shop, and safe in our everyday lives.
In Jesus' name, Amen."
