He has been the best friend of my son Landon since they were in first and second grade. Their friendship is one that was facilitated by God because neither one of them is capable of forming friendships like this. On 2/14/2022 he was ambushed by a kid in the bathroom during a break in between classes. The boy who attacked him had planned this because he had 2 other students filming the incident. It
was a brutal vicious attack that left Landon extremely bruised and fearful. Landon went to his next class crying and the teacher sent him to the office. The office administration suspended Landon stating that "Landon must have incited the attack." As you can see from the video this attack was on an unsuspecting child who didn't defend himself in any way. Landon was victimized not only by the student but he was also victimized by the school after the attack. They rescinded the suspension once they saw the video but they suspended Landon with no investigation to find out what happened what so ever. It is clear that the school and district did not take care or concern for this special needs child. This is a story I have heard read repeatedly since Monday. It is time for this abuse to stop. We as parents of special needs children are going to stand together and require school district and law makers give these bullied children justice. We want to pass a Law to make it a felony assault charge if a child with disabilities is the victim. They have no ability to protect themselves.
