Memorial Day Parade and Road Closures:

The 2026 Memorial Day Parade will be held tomorrow (May 25th, 2026) at noon. Line up begins at 11am at Reservoir Park. Main St (route 57) will be closed to all vehicular traffic during the Parade from Becker Court to Crook Street. We are also asking all vehicle be removed from downtown by 10am. Officers will be at various locations directing traffic. Barricades will be in place and we ask the public to not move them for the safety of Parade participants. If you have questions about the detour, please ask an officer and they will be happy to direct you in your travels.

This past weekend, members of the Grafton Ohio Police Department participated in the 15th Annual Pete Soto Chilli Cookoff in Avon.

The Grafton Police Benevolent Association announces the 2026 Scholarship Award applications are now available at the Grafton Ohio Police Department. This years Scholarship Award is $3000.00!!!

To be eligible for the Award, the following are the requirements:

Candidate must be a Village of Grafton resident or child of a Village of Grafton Employee, a High School Senior, have achieved 3.5 or above GPA, must be accepted into an institution of higher education, show financial need, dedication, perseverance, leadership, moral and ethical character.

Today members of the Grafton Ohio Police Department participated in Holidays with Hometown Heros (Shop with a Cop) along with several Lorain County agencies. Detective Packard and Ptlw. Funk were able to take four Grafton Village children shopping for Christmas.

**Update: Owner Located**

We have a dog that is missing it's owner. She has a pink collar on with the name of Lucy. There is a name and phone number of Sue Fries. The phone number is no longer in service. Please contact the Grafton Ohio Police Department if this is yours or you know who's it is. She was found in the Wellfleet area.

As the Village of Grafton is preparing for another wonderful Old Fashion Christmas, we wanted everyone to understand the traffic and parking restrictions for the event.

Main St. will be closed to all traffic from Becker Ct. To Elm St. In both directions. Elm and Center Streets will be used as the main detour for St. Rt. 57.

There is NO PARKING permitted on
Main St. from Becker Ct. to Elm St.
Becker Ct.
Center St.

Roads will be closed at 5pm til the event is over at 8:00 pm
If you chose to park in any area inside the event, vehicles will not be permitted to leave the event until roads are opened around 8 pm.
