Want to be part of the biggest volunteer effort to clean our oceans and Great Lakes? Join me in celebrating the International Coastal Cleanup Day at beautiful Lion's Den Gorge on Saturday Sept 9th and bring your kids. Last year more than 15,000 participated on all five Great Lakes at 342 locations removing 40,211 lbs of debris making our shorelines and waters cleaner and safer! We had a great Beach Clean-up event this past weekend with a handful of wonderful volunteers!
I'm very happy to report that we had less garbage (20 lbs. less) this year compared to last year so THANK YOU to all the wonderful people that enjoy this park responsibly. It was the cleanest we’ve seen the park in the past 4 years – let’s keep it up! Next beach clean-up event will be April 2016; I hope to see you there!

Join the world’s largest volunteer effort for our ocean and waterways by participating in the International Coastal Cleanup that is this Saturday 9/12 at 9:30am at Lion's Den. We are working together with the Alliance of the Great Lakes and the Ozaukee County Parks system

Thank you very much to the wonderful volunteers that made this year’s Adopt-A-Beach possible at Lion’s Den. We had 37.4 lbs of trash plus a 100lbs floating dock and a chair. Lion’s Den Gorge Nature Preserve is a wonderful park because of caring citizens and volunteers like yourself. Thanks again!!
