A letter to our 'senior' friends (those of us 55 and over!)

Hey Blackhills Camp Family: it’s almost time for us to gather on that special mountaintop for another season of family camp. This year, I would like to recognize the senior citizens in a little different way. I am asking each senior who attends camp or even comes to services at camp to write a paragraph or two about what family camp has meant to them over the years. A favorite memory of camp from the past would be great. I am hoping to gather all of these prior to camp, combine them and read some excerpts during the senior recognition on Saturday evening. This will replace the song the seniors have traditionally sung before the congregation. Please send your submissions to me at: [email protected] or text them to me at 304-282-1187. Thanks!

On top of our shirt fundraiser, we are excited to announce this fun, little fundraiser for Family Camp! We are going to Flag a Yard (or in this case, your cabin) for July 4th! Here's how it works, you pick out items for your cabin/dorm, and we will deliver them to your area before camp starts so you just have to show up and decorate how you want! All proceeds will go to help fund the next camp building project. But wait! This fundraiser won't last long. All orders must be in by June 25th.

There are 3 ways you can order. Print off the attached images of the order form in the comment section and mail in your order form with payment. Fill out your order form and e-mail it to [email protected] and we can send you a total and PayPal link to pay. (Please note that PayPal fees will apply.) Or, let us know what you'd like to buy and then show up to camp and pay with cash or check. Once you've paid, we will prepare your order.

You can pick up your apparel at any of the three camps if you preorder or if you'd like it shipped, we can do that as well.
