STS2(SS) Michael J Holtz, born August 19, 1976, was a son, brother, father and friend. On December 29, 2006, Mike was tragically killed in an accident, shortly after leaving port near Plymouth, England, while serving his country aboard the USS Minneapolis-St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and was always willing to help a friend in need. He had a great sense of humor and a large love for life,

family and friends. The MJH Foundation was started in April 2007 by family and friends to honor the wonderful and caring man that he was.
