ROAD CLOSURE - EATON TOWNSHIP

The Lorain County Engineer’s Office announces the closure of Durkee Road, between SR 82 and Giles Road, in Eaton Township for a culvert replacement.

The work will begin on June 9, 2026 at 7:30 am and is expected to be completed by June 12, 2026 at 4:00 pm, weather permitting.

Detour signs will be posted.

Please ensure your Safety / Service personnel are aware of this closure.

Your cooperation during this construction is greatly appreciated.

Memorial Day Event

You are invited to join the Belden Historical Society this Sunday, May 24th, for a Memorial Day ceremony. We will gather at 12:00 p.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Park (corner of State Routes 303 & 83) for a brief ceremony & flag raising followed by a walkthrough of the park. The museum will be open too, which contains several military artifacts & other treasures.

Grafton Township filled several dumpsters yesterday & today. Let’s continue keeping our properties looking good throughout the year. There’s no need to wait for the annual dumpster days event. As part of our contract with Rumpke, we can have 1 bulk pickup per month.
