This is the final week to contribute to the Grafton Time Capsule! Swing by City Hall to drop off items. ⏱️

What might be obsolete in 50 years? What should the future generations know about what Grafton is like today? What stories would you like to share?

All are welcome to contribute. Drop off at Grafton City Hall, 5 East 4th St by Friday!

πŸ“¦ Help Us Create a Time Capsule for 2076! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

As part of the celebration of America's 250th birthday, Grafton is joining communities across Walsh County in creating a time capsule that will be opened 50 years from now.

We're looking for items, photos, stories, and memorabilia that capture what life in our community is like today. What should future generations know about Grafton in 2026?

Ideas include:
πŸ“Έ Photos of community events and landmarks
πŸ“ Personal stories or letters
πŸ“° Newspaper clippings and programs
🏫 School, church, or organization memorabilia
πŸͺ™ Everyday items that may become obsolete (pennies, car keys, etc.)

The time capsule box is only 12" x 12" x 5", so space is limited, but we'd love to see your ideas!

πŸ“… Please drop off contributions by Friday, June 26.

Help us leave a message for the future and preserve a piece of Grafton's story for generations to come.

Looking to get involved in the community and make a meaningful difference?

The Kiwanis - Grafton, ND Club invites community members to learn more about an organization dedicated to improving the lives of children through service, leadership, and community support. As part of a global network of volunteers, Kiwanis works to create lasting positive change and help ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Whether you're interested in volunteering, giving back, meeting new people, or supporting local youth, Kiwanis offers a rewarding way to make an impact right here in Grafton. New members are always welcome!

πŸ“ Weekly meetings are held Wednesdays at 12:00 PM at Unity Medical Center. Lunch is available in the cafeteria, with meetings held in the 3rd-floor conference room.

Some events that Kiwanis hosts include Old Fashioned Pie Social, Lunch with Santa, and serving at local events. Kiwanis also provides monetary support to local initiatives that support youth.

🦩 Have you seen the flamingos hanging around town? 🦩

They’re not lostβ€”they’re part of the Flamingo Fandingo Fundraiser!

Anyone can pay a fee to "flock" a house or business within Grafton with a flock of bright pink and blue flamingos. It's a fun way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, special occasion, or simply surprise a friend or neighbor.

Want to send a flock their way? The flamingos will make a temporary stop at their location before moving on to their next destination around town.

Ready to flock someone? Contact the Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce/DMV to schedule your flamingo delivery! Hurry before the birds migrate for the season. πŸ”†
