Welcome to the GTRA FFA page! Our chapter has over 65 members that are growing as leaders in agriculture.

It is that time of year again! Today FFA members will start selling fruit, meat, cheese, candies, pickled herring, seasonings and coffee!

Just a reminder we now want to hear from YOU! Whether it's a few hours here and there, helping with CDE/LDE practice, lending a hand with fundraising, or something else entirely - there's a place for you in this. Every bit of involvement helps us give our FFA students and our program the support they deserve.

You DO NOT need to be a past FFA member to be part of the alumni and supporters chapter.

In honor of National Teach Ag Day, students in ag competed against each other to try and breakout of the box in the Teach Ag Breakout Box! Out of the all the high school classes, only 6 groups finished within the class period. Thank you to all Ag Teachers for what you do and the experiences you provide our students!

Today in Ag Business, students sat down with Superintendent, Mr. Dicks, Principal, Mr. Simington, and School Counselor, Mrs. Peterson to discuss their proposed idea of starting a school based enterprise this semester for their class project! They discussed the student interest survey they would like the student body to take, what their plans and ideas are for the business and rounded the class out with questions on how they could improve what they have done so far.

We had a great day today at the Clay County Fair! There were over 750 FFA members in attendance today for this event. Members who attended listened to Jael Cruikshank (current National FFA Officer) give a speech in the morning, watch several different CDEs, explore the fair and then ended the day by attended her workshop in the afternoon!

Thank you to everyone who joined our first GTRA FFA Alumni and supporters interest meeting- whether in person or virtually!

We talked through what our local FFA chapter needs most right now, and submitted the paperwork to officially charter our Alumni chapter, and mapped out our next action items as a group.

It may have rained a little more than we would have liked this weekend for the Labor Day Celebration in Graettinger, but we still had fun! Thank you to everyone who came and visited us on Saturday at the Kid Games in the Park! It was also fun seeing everyone as we went through the parade today. Thank you to Pro Coop for allowing us to ride along with you in the parade!

It has been a successful and fun filled weekend!
