American Proud, 250 Years and Counting! 🇺🇸
We were honored to participate in the Gowanda America 250 Parade this month!
This once-in-a-generation celebration, hosted by the Gowanda Area Chamber of Commerce, commemorated our nation's 250th anniversary. Our floats paid tribute to the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, honoring those who have made—and continue to make—the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation's freedom.
We were also privileged to support a very special little girl in her courageous battle against cancer. Nellie, a 4-year-old Western New York native, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma earlier this summer. While her fight against this rare form of cancer is just beginning, the parade demonstrated that she and her family are not facing it alone.
Our "Nellie Strong" float proudly made its way down Main Street, surrounded by friends, family, and community members. Nellie was our distinguished guest, and seeing the smiles, waves, cheers, and overwhelming support from the community was a powerful reminder that hope is strongest when shared. While cancer brings uncertainty and heartache, the love shown throughout the parade gave NellieStrong; Nellie's Journey with Neuroblastoma and her family renewed strength to keep fighting.
We're proud to share that our floats earned 3rd Place in the parade. While we're grateful for the recognition, the greatest reward wasn't the trophy—it was being able to donate 100% of the prize winnings to support Nellie and her family in their fight.
The Gowanda America 250 Parade wasn't just a celebration of our nation's past—it was a celebration of what makes America great: neighbors helping neighbors, honoring those who serve, and coming together to support a family in need.
Happy America 250, Gowanda! 🇺🇸❤️
