The goal of the Gove County Community Foundation is to increase economic and community development opportunities in Gove County.

An affiliate of Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation Gove County Community Foundation became an affiliate of Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation in 2012. An affiliate is a collection of community funds to increase philanthropic giving in a geographic area. Both endowed and non-endowed funds are developed to provide financial support to 501(c)(3) and other qualifying non-profit organizations and for charitable purposed to benefit area residents.

🚒 Investing in Those Who Protect Our Communities! 🚒

Wednesday evening, we were proud to present the City of Grainfield Fire Department with a $10,000 grant toward the purchase and construction of a brand-new training facility!

This facility will serve not only Grainfield’s volunteer firefighters, but first responders throughout Gove County and surrounding counties. It’s an investment in training, preparedness, and the people who volunteer their time to keep our communities safe.

When we review grants each month, we always come back to our mission and ask: Does this project truly fulfill our purpose?

“The goal of the Gove County Community Foundation is to enhance the quality of life in Gove County through philanthropy, to increase economic and community development opportunities. We are driven by a mission to create a prosperous future for our community by supporting collaborative and innovative initiatives that address today’s needs while paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.”

We can’t think of a better example of that mission in action. 💚

What better way to invest in our community than by helping train and equip the people who protect it?

🥒 Tomorrow’s the big dill! 🥒

Gove County Medical Center and Bluestem Clinic will close at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, for the Pickle for a Purpose fundraiser.

Funds raised will go toward the new Lifestyle Medicine Clinic opening this September at GCMC! We’re so excited about this new service and grateful to Dr. Doug and the GCMC and Bluestem team for bringing it to our community.

What is lifestyle medicine, you ask? It’s an evidence-based medical specialty that addresses the root causes of disease through therapeutic lifestyle interventions. Grounded in six interconnected pillars, lifestyle medicine can help treat, prevent, and even reverse chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and more.

We "relish" the chance to see you in Grainfield so come join us for an evening of fun and help support a great cause! There’s fun for the whole family, including bounce houses, a water slide, face painting, food, snow cones, and other cold beverages!

Our Emergency Department will remain open 24/7 for medical emergencies. Normal business hours will resume Monday, August 10.
