Gouverneur Kiwanis Wildcat Backpack Program We provide bags of food to children in elementary school within the Gouverneur Central School District every weekend. Thank you for visiting.

[email protected] Welcome to the Kiwanis of Gouverneur, NY Wildcat Backpack Program page. We are a small group of local individuals dedicated to serving the community. The Backpack Program is one of our service projects aimed at supporting the youth within our district. This program discreetly pr

ovides a bag of food each Friday and before breaks throughout the school year to children in elementary school. We are currently supplying 175 bags filled with ramen, applesauce, granola bars, and breakfast bars. Let's Shout Out our K-Kid's Club & Builder's Club and their advisors for hosting successful fundraisers in support of our Backpack Program.

K-Kid's hosted a bake sale and raised over $400.

Builder's Club hosted a Christmas themed movie night and raised over $100, along with items for the bags.

Great job, everyone. Also, a huge shout out for all the support shown to these kiddos in their efforts.

We would like to take a moment to express our sincere appreciation to 7-11 of Gouverneur for their generous contribution of 57 mini donut packages, 20 Gushers, 10 KitKat bars, 10 Crunch bars, 10 Hershey's bars, 10 Rolo's, 10 Starbust, 10 Twix bars, and 10 Airheads (147 items) to provide a sweet treat in this week's bags. Additionally, we would like to extend our gratitude to an anonymous donor who purchased the remaining 17 items (cookies, goldfish, donuts) to ensure that every student utilizing this program receives a treat and Brycen Parshley for his help picking up the items, sorting and counting.

Good morning, devoted followers and supporters. Our backpack program is once again active, benefiting 164 students during the 2025-2026 academic year. Please stay tuned for upcoming Kiwanis events aimed at raising funds for this outstanding program. Let's SHOUT OUT Kiwanis Club of Gouverneur, Inc., Brittany Buckmaster and her students, as well as all individuals contributing to the success of this initiative.
