Ryan's Wish Foundation Ryan's Wish Foundation is dedicated to the helping of others who are battling a serious illness to"play and live strong."

The foundation was organized in memory of Ryan Saidel, who at the young age 19, died of cancer in 2004 after a five-year struggle. Ryan inspired others to make the best of each and every day. His wish was to do as much as possible. Ryan's Wish Foundation provides financial support that will assist individuals of all ages with expenses incurred during treatment or hospitalization for cancer and oth

er serious illnesses. Financial support is provided to individuals based upon need. The Board of Directions approves and oversees the donations and gifts to individuals based upon a submitted request. Quick Facts
-Funds stay within out local area St. Lawrence, Franklin, Jefferson, and Lewis County

-Support is provided to individuals in the form of gas cards, meals, lodging or assistance with exorbitant co-pays for prescription drugs

-Since 2018 the Foundation has provided approximately $200,000 to more than 300 recipients.

Happy Spring, friends. We are reaching to thank our community for ongoing support! Reminding all of the availability of Hannah’s Seasoning at the Gouverneur Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop and at One More Chapter bookstore, 101 E Main Street, Gouverneur.

You are also invited to a community event being organized by the Rip-It exercise ministry at the First United Methodist Church Gouverneur. Over 25 teams of folks have been encouraged to walk 100 miles in April as a fundraiser for Ryan’s Wish. The community is invited to walk the final mile (or cheer on the walkers) on April 30.
