I believe every time we feel frustration, it means we’ve really stopped relying on God. That might sound like a bold statement to you, but think about it: God’s given you and me His Holy Spirit and His grace to help us walk through anything that comes our way. Frustration hits when we stop depending on Him and try to make something happen our own way.

Understanding this really helped me. Every time I became frustrated, I reminded myself that what I was really doing was trying to take the place of the Holy Spirit.

Do you struggle with an independent spirit? When you refuse to depend on God, in essence, you’re saying, “Okay, God, I appreciate that You’re around, but watch me do this.” Depending on God for everything may be difficult, but it’s the key to the victory we need every single day of our lives.

When God saved us, He didn’t help us and then say, “Ok, that’s it. You’re on your own now!” He’s eternally saved us, which means if we depend on Him, He will guide us and help us.

Choose to stop living independently, and rely on the Holy Spirit. I promise you won’t regret it!

God, You are all I need. Help me not to trust in myself, but to put my trust in You and to rely only on You.Amen

Life is hard, and sometimes it seems like there's one storm after another. Whether it be an illness, and temptation, a toxic person, or a hundred other things, life is full of storms. The thing we have to remember when going through these storms is God. When I feel like I am being thrown one thing after another and I can't take it anymore, I remember that God will not put me through anything that will not make me stronger. Stay focused on God and he will lead your path straight.

Psalm 107:29 "He stilled the storm to a whisper, the waves of the sea were hushed."

This verse helps me remember that God is always in control, and He will carry me through anything I can't carry myself through. All I have to do is have faith that does not waver in tough times.

When constructing a building, a strong foundation must be laid first to support the weight of the rest of the structure. We too need a firm foundation on which to build our lives. There’s only One who can provide that stable, solid Rock we need—Jesus Christ. He alone can hold us steady through every evil attack and storm of life.

If Jesus is your firm foundation, the winds may blow and the rains may pour, but in Him, your life will stand secure. As your Savior, Lord, and Friend, Jesus will establish you to the end. He will lift every load—bear every burden. No matter the challenge, know this, with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval.

Be like the wise man who built his house upon the Rock. Before the winds blow, draw closer to Jesus. Before the rains come, dig deeper into God’s Word. Ground yourself securely on the knowledge of God’s love, and let Jesus be your firm foundation.

The storms will come. But when you are building your life on the foundation of Christ, those storms are a lot less intimidating. You may get hurt, but your foundation will stand firm. Take heart as you learn what it means to build your life on Christ!

Dear Lord Jesus, I seek to have a strong foundation. Give me insights into Your Word. Lord. Help me to be strong in Your word, using your Love, Grace and Mercy as my foundation to overcome. Be with me Lord as I walk thru my days. knowing that turning to you will strengthen me and my foundation in you.
Amen.

Many of us spend far too much time trying to figure out how we can get blessings for ourselves. People sometimes spend their entire lives trying to accomplish what they think is important, never trusting God or letting Him lead them. In the end, this leaves them depressed and unfulfilled.

God didn’t create us to worry about helping ourselves all the time. He wants us to sow good seed by reaching out to help others. And doing good brings great satisfaction because it feels great to make a difference. It also opens the door for God to bless you in a greater way.

You need to trust God to bring the right blessings into your life. While you’re waiting for His perfect timing, get busy helping others. You’ll actually feel relieved when you aren’t thinking about yourself all the time.

Trust God and get busy doing the good things you know to do. He’ll faithfully bless you and meet your needs.

God, I don’t want to live a selfish, self-centered life. I trust You to bring the right blessings into my life while I’m busy doing good for everyone You’ve placed in my life. Amen
