In partnership with the Orange County Library System, Demigod Camp will bring mythology to life with a variety of themed arts & crafts stations and activities for young heroes ages 6–12 throughout the Gardens.

🌿 Help Support Nehrling Gardens

After years of planning, Nehrling Gardens has an important Special Exception hearing before Orange County on August 6.

This request would officially recognize Nehrling Gardens as an Arboretum while keeping our Agricultural (A-1) zoning. Approval will allow us to improve our driveway and parking, provide better emergency access, expand educational programming, and support the long-term future of the Gardens.

Step into the world of Greek mythology at Nehrling Gardens! 🏛️🌿

Join us Saturday, September 12, from 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. for Demigod Camp, presented by the Orange County Library System and Nehrling Gardens. Children ages 6–12 and their caregivers are invited to enjoy a morning of stories, activities, and hands-on fun inspired by Greek mythology in the gardens.

Nehrling Gardens Arboretum supports a mother raccoon "Nellycoon" with a litter of 4 kits. Native Florida raccoons (Procyon lotor) are opportunistic omnivores crucial to the biosphere. They benefit the ecosystem by controlling pest insect and small rodent populations, acting as highly effective seed dispersers, scavenging carrion to prevent disease, and serving as essential prey for larger native predators. A neighbor was able to get these pics in their backyard that abuts the historic Arboretum known as "Nehrling's Palm Cottage Gardens," in the Gotha Rural Settlement Association, Inc.
