First i want to make something clear, i have no secret agenda, just trying to give back a little to a community that has given myself and family a great place to live. I am doing this for all people, small businesses and entrepreneurs , and to encourage common sense spending, on needed infrastructure, education and public safety just to name a few, for Goshen’s East and North side.
Public safety is very important to me, witch includes supporting all First Responders of Goshen and there needs..
The well-being of our residents is important to me. Through proper representation in city government, myself and fellow common council members and the mayor will work together to make positive decisions for all Goshen residents..
I think Goshen’s small businesses and entrepreneurs are the life-blood of our city. If possible, we need to help grease the wheels for new businesses. A city government that works to help these individuals in a supportive way to succeed, prosper, and grow is good for everyone..

Hello everyone , I’m Matt Schrock and i am running Goshen city council in the 3rd district
i am nearly a life long resident of our city
at this point of time in my life i decided it was time to give back to a community that has given myself and family a great place to go to school, work and live
I am proud to own a successful family operated small business located in Goshen in since 1992 and moved to East Goshen in 2004
The overall well-being of all our residents is important to me
including the safety of pedestrians and students crossing railroad tracks were pedestrian crossings no longer exist
Public safety is very important to me, witch includes supporting all First Responders of Goshen and there needs
If elected, i look forward to working with fellow council members and the mayor to achieve positive solutions for all of Goshen
Goshen’s 3rd district does cover a large portion of our city limits-
-EVERYTHING north of the rail road tracks including West Lincoln from main street to Indiana Ave, then north to Pike street, east on pike to the Martins grocery store and everything north of that
I think North and East Goshen need strong representation in our city government
If elected, i will do my best to make sure the neighborhoods of North and East Goshen get there fair share of NEEDED infrastructure projects and basic improvements, now and for the future
If elected, i will push for common sense infrastructure and spending for all of Goshen
JUST ONE MORE THING-
-I’d just like to say for the the last few months while campaigning door to door i have had the pleasure to meet and speak, sometimes at length, to some of the nicest interesting people
I have enjoyed listing to these people’s concern’s and appreciate there comments
And speaking to old friends i haven't seen in over 40 years
This whole experience has made me a better and understanding person
OK I’M DONE
THANK YOU FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK TO YOU ALL

-Hello everyone, I'm Matt Schrock and I am running for Goshen City Council for the 3rd district.
-I just want everyone to know, I have no secret agenda. still just a person trying to give back to a community that has given myself and family a great place to go to school, work, and live.
-I'm just your average, nearly lifelong resident, who does get frustrated sometimes when I hear about major money being spent on some infrastructure projects that are no more than cosmetic improvements and such, when there are major safety issues on Goshen's North and East sides of town that I think should have some priority.
-Here are just a few safety concerns for the 3rd district.
The water pressure and volume problem on the Goshen's East side
Some sidewalks in the North and East side of town are really bad, (I know, I just walked a lot of them), a lot of them are not safe, some not passable at all.
I think all of the Norfolk Southern main line RR crossings from Green Rd to East Lincoln Ave need to have safe pedestrian crossings
To make sure Goshen's first responders have access to all of the North and East corridor at all times
-These are all common sense safety issues.
-If elected, I will do my best to make sure the residents and small businesses of 3rd District are a priority when it comes to all infrastructure projects and that these same people are properly informed about these projects.
-If elected, I will push for common sense instructor and spending for ALL of Goshen.
-If elected, I really do look forward to listening to people’s concerns and working with fellow City Council members and the Mayor to achieve positive solutions for these people.
-One last thing, -- While campaigning I have enjoyed speaking to residents and small business owners over the last few months, and appreciate their comments and support. I’m a better and more understanding person because this experience.
-Goshen's 3rd district deserves a strong representative, I feel that I am your best choice.
-I would appreciate your vote for Matt Schrock, for Goshen's 3rd district

#3
Make sure the infrastructure projects planed for 3rd district In the next few years move forward and make sure the residents impacted by these projects are well informed
Examples..
Water and sewer upgrades for East Lincoln Ave from the RR all the way up to Blackport Dr. Including Fire Hydrant water pressure-volume problem in East Goshen
Listen to residents comments and concerns about the new gas station scheduled @ Pletcher Motors location
The Wilden Ave water, sewer and sidewalk upgrades. With massive tree removal all up and down Wilden Ave
Lack of safe pedestrian crossings at @ all RR crossings on the main line with the exception of East Monroe st crossing
Follow up on proposed projects like the boardwalk along Blackport Dr

I want like to make something clear, i have no secret agenda, just trying to give a little back to a community that has given myself and family a great place to live
I feel that family is the core of community and society
Community safety was brought up last week @ the AAUW candidate forum, everyone agreed the GPD does a great job keeping us safe. Fellow candidate Mark Huser also noted, that a safe neighborhood means getting to know your neighbors better, a sense of community, watching out for each others homes, family and personal property, its all good.
I think North and East Goshen need strong representation in our city government when it comes to infrastructure projects and basic improvements
I think Goshen’s small businesses and entrepreneurs are the life-blood of our city. If possible, we need to help grease the wheels for new businesses
Just one last thing, i really enjoy going to our city council meetings, especially when bipartisan decisions are made that benefit all of Goshen. It's great to see everyone nod to each other and smile. Makes me feel like the system does work. More of the general public should go to our council meetings, the question is how to get them there ? Thank You
PLEASE VOTE FOR MATT SCHROCK GOSHEN COMMON COUNCIL 3RD DISTRICT
