If there is snow on ground, members with appointments should check text updates. However, if Oldham Co schools are closed for weather then we are closed.

It’s Derby week! What many people do not see is the work beyond the big day. The work it takes to raise Thoroughbreds. That work is hard and the pay is often little. We support the people who do the work on horse farms by providing groceries to Oldham County horse farm worker families. Please consider a donation to our Horse Farm Ministry. Link is in comments. Yesterday we celebrated all the hard work of our volunteers with some goodies. After, the board gave a brief talk about the pantry’s operations and marketing future. Thank you to Tom Browne at Nothing Bundt Cakes for delicious cakes. As always, the biggest thank you to our volunteers. Without their dedication and hard work we could not complete our mission to help reduce food insecurity.

Did you know we receive fresh foods each day? Did you know we also rotate foods from cold storage at various times throughout both pantry days? This means that everyone gets a fair chance to pick fresh foods, no matter what time your appointment is. Wednesday is just as well-stocked as Tuesday. So, come see us on Wednesday. Bonus…it’s less crowded on Wednesday.
