🇺🇸 WARRIORS WAY IS GOING TO AFRICA! 🇿🇦
Those are words we never imagined we'd be able to say when Warriors Way began.
What started with a forge and a simple idea—bring veterans together, give them something meaningful to do, and let the camaraderie happen naturally—has grown into something much bigger.
And now we're taking the next huge step.
In August 2027, Warriors Way is planning our first South Africa Veterans Retreat.
We will take a group of 8 people — 6 veterans and 2 non-veteran chaperones/support personnel — to South Africa for a five-day hunting and outdoor retreat.
The two support positions are there for a reason: helping manage the group, international travel, logistics, and making sure our veterans are taken care of throughout the experience.
But what makes this opportunity especially important to us is this:
Our goal is for every person selected for this retreat to experience it at NO COST to them.
We don't want someone's financial situation determining whether they can say yes to an opportunity like this.
Through sponsorships, donations, and community partnerships, Warriors Way intends to remove that barrier.
Because this isn't simply about going to Africa.
The hunt is the activity.
The veterans are the mission.
For years, we've watched what happens when veterans gather around a forge.
They work together. They laugh. They tell stories. They give each other a hard time. Friendships form. Conversations happen naturally. And sometimes those relationships become much more important than whatever we were making that day.
That's what Warriors Way has always been about.
South Africa is an opportunity to take that same philosophy beyond the walls of our forge.
A small group. A shared adventure. Five days together in the African outdoors. And an experience these veterans will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
But perhaps the most exciting part is what comes next.
We don't want South Africa to be a once-in-a-lifetime program for Warriors Way.
We want it to be the first of many.
Our vision is to continue expanding what Warriors Way can offer veterans and create more opportunities, retreats, and experiences in the years ahead.
South Africa 2027 is our first step.
There is still a lot of work between today and boarding that plane, but we're excited to say that the first pieces are already falling into place.
Over the coming months, we'll share the businesses, organizations, and individuals stepping forward to help make this possible, our progress toward fully funding the retreat, and eventually the veterans selected for this journey.
Warriors Way started with a forge in Lima, Ohio.
Now we're going to Africa.
