Goshen Scout Reservation, a fully accredited camp, is the home of three resident Scout camps, one resident Webelos camp, and the Lenhok’sin High Adventure Base, all centrally located around beautiful, 450 acre, Lake Merriweather. As part of the $1 Million Invesment at Goshen Scout Reaervation, ahead of the summer 2026 season, our Aquatics waterfront areas are being regraded to address erosion and irrigation concerns.

Take a look at the regraded waterfronts at Camp Ross and Camp Marriott, with 4-6 inches of new sand!

Next up - new fencing, a new shade fly system, and landscaping clean up. Grading work will begin at Camp Olmsted today, and Camp Bowman next week!

Lead the waterfront area, supervise staff, and support boating & swimming programs.

Teach boating and swimming skills, support campers, and keep the waterfront safe and fun.

Construction of new roofed shotgun stations at Camps Olmsted, Marriott, and Bowman are underway!

These shotgun pavilions will allow for Scouts BSA youth to participate in the Shotgun merit badge and open shoot programs while being protected from the sun.

This project is a part of a larger set of Range and Target Activities improvements through the $1 Million Investment at Goshen Scout Reservation.

As a part of our $1 million Investment at Goshen Scout Reservation, we welcomed 25 new canoes and 20 new kayaks to camp!

These boats will replace older equipment that have been retired, and will support recreation and advancement programs at our summer camps.

We can’t wait to see Scouts paddling on Lake Merriweather in our new boats in just a few weeks!

As a part of the $1 Million Investment at Goshen Scout Reservation, our Range and Target Activities areas are receiving a face lift!

Over the past few weeks, the roofs have been replaced at the:
- Camp Olmsted Archery Range
- Camp Olmsted Rifle Range
- Camp Bowman Archery Range

Next, we’ll be giving these pavilions a fresh coat of paint, install new fencing at all four resident camp Range and Target areas (Olmsted, Marriott, Bowman, and Ross), and construct roofed shotgun pavilions to continue improving your experience at Goshen Scout Reservation!

This past weekend, several volunteers completed the first phase of constructing a central boat storage structure at Goshen Scout Reaervation as a part of NCAC’s $1 Million Investment into our property and program!

This structure will house all of Goshen Scout Reservation’s canoes and kayaks, including the 25 new canoes and 20 new kayaks arriving in just a few weeks! Here, we’ll clean, repair, and store boats so they are in tip-top shape for Scout use each summer.

The next phase of this project includes adding a slanted roof.

Great things are happening at Goshen Scout Reservation! In the month of February, we’ve:

* Reroofed the Archery Pavilions at Camps Olmsted and Bowman. Reroofing the Olmsted Rifle range is currently in progress!
* Purchased 117 new camper tents and 250 cots
* Removed over 180 priority trees. (That number is now over 300 today!)
* Legs for 35 new picnic tables arrived at camp
* Purchased 25 new canoes and 20 new kayaks, with a delivery date in mid-April!
* Purchased new jon boat motors for the motor boating merit badge
* Ordered a new backhoe
* Began upgrading the ventilation system at the Camp Marriott shower house, as an expansion on the same projects completed at Camps Olmsted and Ross in 2025

We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on in March!
