Prospect-Goshen Rotarians were excited to welcome Dr Sarah Hitchings and Leslie Meers, the Waggener High School College NOW team, to our meeting yesterday to share the incredible impact of this educational initiative.

With the support of PG Rotary members and money, hundreds of Waggener students have received their first college experience, many beginning as early as freshman year. Students are earning dual-credit college hours, building confidence, reducing future tuition costs, and in some cases graduating high school with 30+ college credits already completed.

Even more inspiring, the program is helping change the culture from simply “going to college” to successfully graduating from college. 2026 celebrated the first graduates from college as a result of this program. That is real, lasting impact.

We are honored to play a small part in opening doors for these hardworking students and look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership for years to come.

Come spend a few hours digging in the dirt alongside Rotarians, friends, neighbors, and nature lovers as we help preserve this living tribute to the Prospect Goshen Rotarians who inspired our club through the years. ALL MEMBERS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED Whether you're an experienced gardener or simply willing to lend a hand, we'd love to have you there. Rotarian Herb Shulhafer is chairing this event.

The Prospect-Goshen Rotary Club is proud to support the important work of Lydia House Community Outreach through our Community Impact Grant program and drop off service.

We are thrilled to see the success of the 2026 Give Back Block Party & Cookout, which brought neighbors together and made a real difference in the lives of local families.

Thanks to the dedication of their volunteers, donors, community partners, and supporters, Lydia House was able to:

✅ Serve and feed 227 people
✅ Connect families with valuable community resources
✅ Collect requests for food assistance, clothing support, and prayer
✅ Build meaningful relationships throughout the neighborhood
✅ Create a welcoming environment where everyone felt seen, valued, and supported

This event is a wonderful example of what happens when organizations and community members come together in service to others.

Congratulations to the entire Lydia House team and all who made this day possible. We are honored to play a small role in helping advance their mission of hope, compassion, and outreach.
