We had a great Peter Whitmore event on Saturday with beautiful weather and 17 horse and rider pairs participating! A big shout-out to Teri Bullis who did some speedy mowing and weedwhacking to be sure the grounds were in order after all last week's rain!

The next event is the Hilltown Misfits Fun Day on Sunday June 7th, followed by a new Drill Team Clinic featuring Philip Whitmore on June 27th!

Dear Members (including anyone who hasn't yet renewed their membership but plans to do so): The HCRC Board has been hard at work researching the idea of installing a composting toilet and potty shed on our grounds. Every year, the porta-potty is our biggest expense! The cost goes down with every donation, and with donations we have received already, our capital funds spent would "pay for itself" within two years. We wanted to be sure that everyone who has invested in the club in the past has a chance to hear about this plan and provide us with direct feedback if you have concerns, want to express enthusiasm or if you are willing/able to volunteer support! Please send us a direct message with your thoughts if you have some to share!

The State is currently soliciting feedback about Sunday hunting and reducing setback limits for hunting of within 500 feet of a dwelling/building in use and within 150 feet of a road. Fall is a favorite time to ride our horses in the woods, and state parks and forests, and Sunday is currently the only safe day to do so. Riders and dog walkers are encouraged to voice their opinions here by February 6, 2026.

MassWildlife is gathering public input on Sunday hunting, hunting with crossbows, and setback limits for hunting. Use the form below to submit your feedback by 5 p.m. on February 6, 2026.

Games in Goshen! Our last Games night was really fun. We hope to host this event next year again...perhaps with new footing in the ring for those who like to go a little faster! Congrats to our winners, thanks to our sponsors, and thank you to those who came to have fun with us!!
