Campus Center for Young Children - Goshen

Campus Center for Young Children - Goshen CCYC is an early care and education program dedicated to providing the highest quality care for children 12 months through 6 years old.

CCYC focuses on a developmental approach to early childhood education as advocated by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Our philosophy is based on the knowledge that children learn best when they have opportunities to explore their environment through hands-on, age and developmentally appropriate learning activities. The teachers are the architects of the learning envir

onment; that is they use their knowledge of child development in conjunction with the needs of individual children to create a vibrant, sometimes challenging, learning environment. Children are given a variety of opportunities to engage in activities that help to develop all of the developmental domains-social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and sensory. CCYC is a non-profit organization and holds its own 501c3 status. CCYC is governed by the CCYC Board of Directors who volunteer their time and talents to ensure a well-run, fiscally responsible, high quality program.

As if finding child care isn’t hard enough for families. This is devastating to families and children in Indiana.

As if finding child care isn’t hard enough for families. This is devastating to families and children in Indiana.

The Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children reports that 311 child care centers have closed since September due to cuts to the Child Care Development Fund voucher program, resulting in a loss of 10,321 seats in child care programs.

We have the pleasure of seeing multiple trains go by our playground daily. Today, the train stops and an engineer got out of the caboose (yes, a real caboose) and approached the fence with a bag of goodies for us. He shared that passing our playground, “is the best part of our day!” Goosebumps all around!

When we use the phrase, "Rooted in Community" we are celebrating how many children and families CCYC has served over the past 28 years-too many to count! (though I've tried!)
Suffice it to say we have touched the lives of hundreds (thousands?) of children and helped them gain the skills they need to succeed in school and life. I love hearing the stories of what great things our alumni accomplish, and am so honored when I receive invitations to graduation open houses or other special occasions.

CCYC is dedicated to continuing to serve our community by offering the highest quality child care programming-regardless of a family's ability to pay. Indeed, we have helped many, many families with financial assistance, and we are seeing that need increase in this uncertain economy and rising costs. Our costs are rising, too, yet we remain steadfast in our commitment to limiting how much of that cost we pass onto families.

Every dollar raised at our event goes directly to assisting families with the cost of child care. We know it's expensive, but we also know it is an investment in a child's future. Help us reach our goal by purchasing your tickets and share in our mission of encouraging children to flourish in an environment of grace, utilizing best practices and child-centered approach to learning. ❤️
