Calling all Friends of Goshen Agriculture! 👩‍🌾🐄🚜

“Preserve, Protect, Promote.”

🌾 The mission of the Friends of Goshen Agriculture is straightforward: Preserve Goshen’s rich agricultural heritage. Protect its life-giving farmland. Promote the hardworking farm families who call Goshen home.

Without its rolling pastures and hayfields, sweeping vineyards, and abundant gardens, Goshen would no longer be “The Land of Milk and Honey.” Families across northwest Connecticut rely on our local farms for vital, healthy resources, yet farmland is being lost at an alarming rate. In 1934, Goshen had 13,274 acres of food-producing land. Today, just over 1,300 acres remain.

Thank you for joining the Open Farm Tour this year, Stone Hollow Farm!!!

The Goshen farm tour was a great turnout. We met so many new friends and many familiar faces. Had some great conversations and learned a lot from our chats. Thank you for all your support. We truly appreciate you all. We hope to see you again next year!

We have restocked our farm stand and have a few goat milk soap available. More varieties on our website.

The mission of the Goshen Agriculture Council, and the Friends of Goshen Agriculture LLC, is to preserve Goshen’s precious farmland, protect the agricultural way of life in town, and promote the hard-working Goshen farms and farm families.

Goshen, aptly named “The Land of Milk and Honey,” has a rich agricultural history, a vibrant farming scene today, and a promising agricultural future. Our job now is to ensure that this bright future is secure.

Supporting our local farmers is one of the very best ways to do so.

So come out this weekend and join us on the great Goshen Open Farm Tour!! Talk to the farmers, learn what they do, learn how you can help. Pet a goat, buy some veggies, pick some blueberries, make a flower bouquet, eat some chocolate and drink some wine. Have fun and support Goshen farms!!!
