A great weekend in the great outdoors! 🍂🏕️ Our annual fall campout at Cedar Pond was full of laughs, some fishing, and good times!

Saturday, the scouts headed out for a hike at nearby Silver Mine Lake. 🎣🥾

Becoming an Eagle Scout is about much more than earning a badge. It’s the culmination of years of hard work, commitment, leadership, service, and perseverance.

Today, we celebrate a Scout who has embraced the challenges of the journey and grown along the way. From the early days of learning the basics of Scouting to taking on greater responsibilities and becoming a leader for others, this achievement represents countless hours of effort and dedication.

The rank of Eagle is earned, but its meaning goes far beyond the ceremony or the badge. It represents a standard of leadership and service that will continue long after the Scout leaves the troop.

Congratulations, Evan on this tremendous accomplishment. Your troop is proud of you, proud of the leader you have become, and excited to see the impact you will make in the years ahead.

🏕️ Leadership in Action🏕️

We’re incredibly proud of First Class Cole Tetzlaff, and First Class Max Iturrios, who were selected to attend National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and who have now returned home after an incredible week of learning, growing, and leading! 👏🔥

NYLT is a challenging, hands-on six-day leadership experience designed to give Scouts the skills, confidence, and experience they need to become effective leaders within their troop and in their community.

Throughout the week, our Scouts participated in team-building activities, challenges, games, discussions, presentations, and practical leadership exercises designed to put those skills into action. They learned about communication, teamwork, problem-solving, leading others, and perhaps most importantly, what it truly means to be a leader.
The experience challenges Scouts to step outside their comfort zones, work together, take responsibility, and discover their own leadership potential.

We’re excited to have them back with our troop and look forward to seeing them share what they learned, put their new skills into practice, and inspire other Scouts to step up and lead.
Congratulations to our two NYLT Scouts! We are so proud of you both and can’t wait to see where your leadership journey takes you! 🦅🔥

Congratulations to Evan Barnes on the successful completion of his Eagle Scout project. This weekend, Evan, with the help from many volunteers, completed his project at the Braeside Camp in Middletown. Braeside Camp is a not-for-profit organization that has been serving the community for well over 100 years. Together with scouts, family and friends, they worked on creating a fire pit area for the camp. From welding the legs for benches himself to screwing in the last bolt, Evan created a beautiful campsite for the children to enjoy for years to come. Thank you to all the volunteers- Everyone did a great job!

Troop 63 warmly invites all prior Eagle Scouts to join us as we celebrate the achievements of our newest Eagles on Saturday, June 13th at 11:00 a.m.

Your leadership, service, and legacy helped pave the trail for the next generation of Scouts, and we would be honored to celebrate this milestone with you.

At this week’s troop meeting, Scoutmaster Jeff Albanese led the Scouts on a walking tour of Goshen as part of preparations for America’s upcoming 250th Anniversary. Along the way, the Scouts learned about Henry Wisner’s important connection to Goshen. Wisner was a Patriot leader during the American Revolution who served in the Second Continental Congress and voted for independence on July 4, 1776, at the time of the Declaration of Independence.
