📢 Elkhart County 4-H ATV Club Update

Purdue Extension and the Indiana 4-H program are currently working through some changes that may affect 4-H enrollment, registration, and insurance for the upcoming year.

At this time, enrollment is anticipated to open around November 1, but the date and details have not yet been confirmed. We will share additional information as it becomes available.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate these changes. Thank you for being part of the Elkhart County 4-H ATV Club! We look forward to another great year of learning, leadership, safety, and fun.

🏁 ATV Club Meeting Recap! 🏁

We covered a lot last night, made a few changes, learned a few things, and had a pretty good time doing it. 😎

📅 Schedule Changes
Because we don't have enough leaders available, we canceled our ride scheduled for September 12th.

-November, December, and January, we will NOT have meetings or rides. I believe it's time to slow down and be with family.-

🏕️ Campout Date Change
Everyone at the meeting voted to move our campout to:

October 23rd–24th
You will learn more at our October 13th meeting!

🏁 Enduro Race Recap
We talked through the Enduro Race, what worked, what didn’t, and voted on a few minor changes to make the next one even better.

🍂 Fall Riding & Maintenance
We also covered some important fall reminders:
• Cold-weather riding
• Fall ATV maintenance
• Trailer inspections
• Properly tying down and securing your quad

These might not be the flashy parts of riding, but they’re the things that keep everyone safe, keep equipment running, and get everybody home in one piece.

You also missed an absolutely wicked awesome ATV safety training video straight out of the 1990s. 😂

Let’s just say we learned a few things… and had A LOT of fun at the video’s expense.

Tomorrow, Aug 22, ENDURO RACE, 8:00 AM to 2-4:00 pm, depending on the number of racers.
Lunch will be hot dogs and chips.
While Group 1 is doing the Enduro, Groups 2-3 will do skills training.
And so on and so forth.
