NEWS FROM LEAPO

In June 2025, the cost of trash pick-up will increase to $70.00 a quarter or $260.00 for one year. You must be a LEAPO member to get this discount. LEAPO membership is $30.00 annually.
SIPC will be increasing the Shoreline Agreement cost in 2025. It will be $100.00 annually.
A Fish Study was started in November 2024 and we expect to get the results in May. SIPC plans on replacing ( or installing ) the Fishing Rules signs at each boat launch.
SIPC has purchased new buoys and are slowly replacing the damaged ones.
2025 Grant Money will be presented to the winners at the April 8 meeting.
LEAPO is still collecting cans for the ELKS Club Fireworks fund. There is a trailer located at the old fire station on LOE Road. A second trailer will soon be placed at The Oasis Liquor Store on Rte 37. This is for aluminum cans ONLY. No paper, plastic, metal, or other garbage. There are also collection barrels located at local bars and businesses in the area. LEAPO volunteers will be collecting and recycling the cans.

Does everyone know that LEAPO collects cans that get recycled and the profits go to the Elks Fireworks Fund? The collection trailer is currently located at the old Fire Station on Lake of Egypt Road. The recycling is all done by LEAPO volunteers with help from some local businesses. If you would like to contribute : Aluminum Cans only - No Trash!
