Just a note to all of the individuals that sent a donation in 2024. Thanks to your help, we were able to cover all expenses with your donations for the year with around $200.00 to carry over into 2025! Your donation makes a huge difference in being able to maintain the Goree Cemetery.
This past year, not only did we have the regular mowing and weeding, but we have been working towards getting graves filled in and headstones leveled where needed. We have more, so be pacient with us as we work towards getting this done. Also, the gophers have moved in and even though we have done one round of treatment, it seems to be growing. We are also working towards getting this under control.
